Precision Custom CNC Machining of an Aluminum Slit Production Housing for the Analytical Instrumentation Industry
Alpine Precision provided the custom CNC machining for this aluminum housing which was used by a customer in the analytical instrumentation industry. This precision component is designed to control light input for a spectrometer.
The part was machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and required mill profiling, pocketing, mill slots, drilling, counterboring and tapping as well as a black anodized finish. Measuring 4.125″ long, 3″ wide and .800″ high, it also met tolerances of +.0002″/-.0000″, flatness of .001″ and perpendicularity of .003″.
